Bachelor of Science

The four-year program in Industrial Engineering leads to the Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering. IE aims to optimize complex processes and complex systems. Industrial engineers’ task is to maximize the generated value by optimal usage of resources such as materials, money, man-hours, machine time, energy and others. They engineer processes and systems in order to improve quality and productivity. IE is described as a synthesis of several basic disciplines. The courses offered are divided into tiers • Industrial engineering • Management/Humanities • Computer Science/Informatics • Mathematics Today, global IE research trends on the topics of manufacturing systems, supply chain management, financial engineering, simulation, statistical modeling, discrete optimization, stochastic processes, ergonomics, the dynamics of socio-economic systems and many others.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM

The core academic program at the Zaman University includes the following disciplines: optimization, applied probability and statistics, design and management of manufacturing system, systems thinking. The interdisciplinary nature of the program trains students for a wide range of planning and production positions. The graduates of IE are prepared to work in public and private enterprises as well as in the service and financial sectors. The course requirements for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering total a minimum of 122 credit hours of formal course work.
